Then, Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene. She recognized him, and she fell at his feet. Jesus said to her, "Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" (John 20:17)

Jesus also appeared to the disciples on several other occasions. He ate with them, talked with them, and taught them. He told them that he had come to give them life, and that he would be with them always, even to the end of the age.

The Meaning of the Resurrection

The resurrection of Jesus is a powerful reminder of God's love and power. It shows us that God is not distant or aloof, but that he is near to us and cares deeply about us. The resurrection also gives us hope for our own future.
